Express Yourself: The Right Way

Tattoos are everywhere. Nearly two out of three people between the ages of 18-25 have at least one tattoo; some have even more. Tattoos are now socially acceptable to have by nearly anyone. Celebrities and athletes have made tattoos so popular that it’s almost shocking when you see someone who doesn’t have one. While expressing yourself is always a great thing to do, you still have to exercise wisdom when it comes to tattoos.

Take for example the number of tattoos that people get and the places where they get them. With the popularity of tattoos, many people have taken it to the extreme. They have gotten an excessive amount of tattoos, in addition to having them in places that perhaps are not wise. Some people get so many tattoos that you can’t even make out what they are or know what they mean. This takes away from the artistic expression, blending together to form an eye straining puzzle.

There is a way that you can artistically express yourself and still not go overboard. This is not to say you have to hide or change who you are and how you express yourself. It would help to think wisely about how the wrong placement of tattoos can cause for someone to have the wrong impression of you. This is especially true if you aspire to have a career that requires you be in the public, such as a corporate executive, a political figure, or a television media professional. You want to exercise discretion because you don’t want to be judged based on your appearance. We are judged on a daily basis anyway so, don’t add to it with excessive or ill placed tattoos.
