Moving Beyond Rejection

We all have experienced rejection before. It’s something that we all have in common. At some point in our lives, we were rejected and it felt as though the wind was taken from beneath our wings.

However, rejection isn’t the only thing we have in common. We kept going and decided in our minds that we were not giving up. We figured out that rejection doesn’t make us a reject. Things may not have gone our way but, that’s okay because we have learned to move beyond rejection and press through to acceptance.

Throughout our lives, we have all taken steps towards bettering ourselves, therefore gaining confidence in ourselves. With this confidence, we can accept the fact that we’re just as good as (if not better than) everyone else. It’s not an egotistical or prideful thing either. It’s an understanding and awareness thing. It’s not that we’re looking for acceptance from others to define who we are but, we realize that in spite of rejection, we’re still determined.

So, when you are rejected, you develop a skill of determination that just can’t be articulated. You will understand that rejection isn’t the end or a final failure. You will still be driven, dedicated, and focused towards your goals. Others will notice this confidence in your character as you continue to move forward towards greatness.

Many of us today may still find ourselves challenged with moving beyond rejection. We will be challenged when obstacles come in our way. But, let me encourage you to know that you can make it. You have the strength to do it now. Even if it’s small steps, that’s okay because even small steps are still progress. So, keep moving beyond rejection to that place of confidence and self-assurance. Be encouraged!!!
