What do I believe in? I believe that there is one God. Is he/she Allah, Jesus, or Jehovah? Well, that’s anyone’s guess. Growing up in a Baptist church, going to Catholic school, and living in a city that has the highest Muslim population than any American city, it can get really confusing what to believe in. But, who decides which one is right?
I’ve always been told that you just have to have “faith”. However, what if I have faith in the wrong one? Then when I die, do I go to hell for not believing in the right God or do I get credit for all the good I’ve done in my life?
On the other hand, what if there is no God? What if I’m wasting my time with all this “faith”? It’s such a tough subject because there are so many different opinions on faith and if you don’t believe what someone else does, you’re looked at as a heathen. So, am I better off just not believing in at all anything in order to remove myself from the conversation and deal with the consequences later, if there are any? What do you believe?

Faith and religion can always be a challenging discussion but the things that are most important and at the bedrock of all religious beliefs are integrity and character. There’s not one faith that does not require their followers to not have these two qualities. So while you can have your theological debates on religious beliefs make sure first that whichever belief you stand on that you maintain a level of integrity and character about yourself. Because with these two qualities you will always be respected whether they believe what you believe or not. Malcolm respected Martin and Mandela respected Gandhi. Why? Because each of these man, having different beliefs, all had integrity and character and thus were respected. People can disagree…
